Update PCMAV 1.9 Build Up 2
At this PCMAV 1.9 Update build 2 has been known for 2 variants of the virus Formalin. Icon used shows like a folder by the virus, it was created using Visual Basic.
In Formalin.D, the file size of 18,432 bytes, with the condition packing in using UPX. This virus creates a folder “disguise” with names such as seepage Soal UAN and Soal UAS, My Completed Downloads, Picture Wallpaper, Crack program, Jgn dibuka!!!, Nitip Data (jgn dihapus), and others. PCMAV 1.9 build 2 has improved to handle those virus.
At the infected computer, a caption in Internet Explorer will be changed to “Your computer has been infected with virus Formalin.” It also tried to demolish “safe-mode” by removing some of the relevant registry. And in the file properties of the virus, in the description property will be no version information, such as writing “Kasian dch loe”.
